The UK Coronavirus Immunology Consortium held a free public webinar, ‘COVID-19, vaccines and protective immunity’, on Tuesday 29 June from 18:00 – 19:00.

What parts of the immune system are involved in generating a protective response against infection with SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, and how long does this immunity last? What about the immune response after vaccination?

Scientists from the UK Coronavirus Immunology Consortium presented some of their latest research, that has been taking place across the UK, on how the immune system can protect us from COVID-19 after natural infection and vaccination. Attendees also had a chance to ask the researchers their questions about COVID-19 immunology and vaccines.
