Our researchers - Professor Massimo Palmarini

Massimo Palmarini is the Director of the MRC-University of Glasgow Centre for Virus Research (CVR) and Chair of Virology at the University of Glasgow. A veterinarian by training, his research programmes focus on the biology, evolution and pathogenesis of arboviruses and on the mechanisms of virus cross-species transmission. His work is funded by the MRC and the Wellcome Trust. Massimo Palmarini has been elected Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences and of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
