One of the mysteries of COVID-19 is why children are so spared from harm. We want to follow a group of children who have been infected with the virus to find out what happens to their immune systems, and how this differs from adults.

Born in Bradford is one of the largest medical research studies in the world and is following the lives of 20,000 children from birth and over their live course. We will recruit children from this cohort, using information from medical records and from home testing kits, and seek consent for follow up blood tests that will allow us to study how antibodies and defence cells in the body react and change over time.
